Silk carpets are known for their elegance and grace. Silk is a valuable natural fiber that can produce intricate patterns, distinct colors, and characteristic luster. Silk carpets provide strength to carpets and hand-made silk carpets make the tapestry supple, soft, and fine works of art. Pure silk carpets are made in Kashmir ( India) and Persia. At Thai Cottage Industries we have started making carpets using locally produced Thai silk and skilled Thai artists who are specialized in working with natural fibers.
